Taking Community Action on Carbon

Governments have their role to play in the Carbon issue but so do communities. Green Skibbereen plan, inhabit Myross Wood House in West Cork, Ireland, as a centre for community action on climate change. Angela Brady will show how a local community, businesses and organisations plan to shift to low and even a zero-carbon footprint. Amongst other points the project will try to demonstrate how retrofit is a key part of the process.

Jonathan Lowy will then highlight how zinc roofing and cladding are very sustainable, not only by being very durable, low maintenance and 100% recyclable but also in the way designers use them to enhance retrofit and new build projects.
