Vandersanden is at the forefront of sustainable brick manufacturing.  

By 2030, we will drastically reduce the energy emissions of our facade brick manufacturing. By 2050, we will have achieved a 100% green, energy-neutral brick firing process. 

We are already making great strides in more sustainable production as we create thinner, eco-friendly facing bricks that are low in CO2 and bricks that absorb CO2 as part of the manufacturing process.  

Our brick factories are all certified to ISO 14001, the recognised standard for environmental management.  

All our bricks are made from completely natural elements, including clay, sand and water, 50% of which are sourced from earth-moving activities and infrastructure projects. 100% of this raw material is turned into a brick, maximising our production efficiency and minimising our waste to zero.

We produce a vast array of high-quality bricks, brick slips and brick solutions in different finishes and colours, ranging from reds and browns, to greys, creams and buffs that will inspire you.  

Vandersanden hand-formed bricks are coated to provide superior protection against efflorescence as well as secondary protection against the effects of pollution. They also meet the EN771-1 standards as well as F2/S2 ratings for durability and active soluble salt content. 

Facades using Vandersanden bricks will retain their beauty and remain untarnished throughout their lifetime.
