Information
In 2001, on South Hope Street in Los Angeles, CA, a group of entrepreneurs, business leaders and technology professionals was concerned about the future of the middle class and economic opportunity in the US. They sought to address the economic disparities threatening the fabric of our society. For two decades, we dedicated ourselves to renovating social systems, crafting blueprints for change, and pioneering innovative solutions.
Today at Hope Street Group, we believe that workforce mobility is the key to American prosperity and economic resilience. In our view, workforce mobility is created when there is:
High quality career navigation and education, especially in high school [our current focus]
Education-to-workforce alignment on training and credentials that connect to high-opportunity occupations
Reduced barriers to high-opportunity occupations in the form of skills-based hiring practices
