Join Ryan Mercer, president of SeedNet, as he discusses the advancements made in hybrid fall rye varieties and how hybrid fall rye has been a focus for SeedNet over the last several years. In this crop tour, Mercer discusses the attributes, benefits and variety performance of hybrid fall ryes in Western Canada. In particular, Mercer reveals characteristics and quality of hybrid fall rye varieties KWS Daniello and KWS Propower. From this crop tour, farmers will understand why Mercer believes these hybrid fall ryes are the way of the future. Additionally, Mercer will talk about the establishment of SeedNet, a grower-owned seed retailer formed 10 years ago by 14 independent seed growers and the common vision they shared to better serve the commercial farmers of Alberta.
