4-H Canada Careers on the Grow program - RBC Foundation has teamed up with 4-H Canada in support of the Careers on the Grow program which prepare rural and suburban youth for the workforce, focusing on: Providing hands-on experiential learning opportunities and internships that offer practical work-experience and build skills and knowledge sought after by employers where there exists a critical skills and labour gap, and affording youth the opportunity to access to jobs, career resources to develop employment skills, as well as professional networks, and mentorship opportunities that are not available otherwise. Ag in the Classroom genAG program - genAG is a competition-based career exploration program for high school students. The genAG program helps high school students explore the diversity of careers in agriculture. Canadian Young Farmers Forum (CYFF) Farm Your Numbers program - The program is a course designed just for young farmers, which incorporates strategic planning, basic financial management, human resource management and succession planning. The goal of the course is to aid young farmers with identifying strengths and areas for improvement in order to make their operations more profitable and successful. The Cattlemen’s Young Leaders (CYL) program provides industry-specific training and mentorship to benefit the beef cattle industry into the future. Young producers and beef enthusiasts between 18 and 35 years of age receive targeted mentorship with select beef cattle industry professionals to guide their industry objectives and develop expertise and business skills.  Throughout the year, CYLs have the opportunity to participate in educational travel opportunities including industry/government roundtable discussions, business development workshops, stock shows, CCA’s Annual General Meeting, conferences and multiple other relevant beef industry events.  The primary objective of the CYL program is to ensure greater sustainability for the Canadian beef industry in the long-term through developing the next generation of beef farmers and agriculture professionals. University of Saskatchewan’s Learn to Work, Work to Learn program powered by RBC Future launch helps students develop necessary skills to enter the workforce
and enhance opportunities to advance in their career. With a primary focus on
developing skills in networking, communication, negotiation, professionalism and critical thinking; students will be given the opportunity to network and gain insight from employers in their industry of interest. The College of Agriculture and Bioresources will provide a skills-focused learning course for students before, during and after summer work experience under the shared guidance of industry mentors and faculty facilitators.
