Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada normally showcases examples of its research and programs at field days and farm shows throughout the year, particularly during the summer months. This year, with COVID-19 concerns, we have opted to provide a digital window into our activities.
Besides supporting the Canadian Agricultural Partnership program (a federal-provincial-territorial $3 billion investment to strengthen the agriculture and agri-food sectors), AAFC conducts applied research in oilseeds, cereals, livestock, agronomy, irrigation and drainage, variety development, forage, horticulture, weather and climate, pulses, agri-food, agro-ecosystem productivity and health, and biodiversity and bioresources.
