Enhancing Quality Management Review through Automation: a Look into Feasibility and Implications
Information
The process of a Quality Management Review (QMR) is an essential component of a comprehensive quality management system (QMS), involving biannual assessments and encompassing a wide array of critical components such as evaluation of formal QMS documents, procedural deviations, training compliance, inspection findings, and audit reports. Presently, this process is predominantly manual, involving a meticulous review of multiple databases to compile the necessary information. We are in process of exploring the potential benefits of automating the QMR process, a move aimed at streamlining the acquisition of relevant data and information. The ultimate goal is to establish an automated system that ensures real-time oversight of the quality status, drawing from pertinent data sources. An assessment of the current manual approach will be shared, outlining the inefficiencies and limitations, while also proposing a vision for the automated process. Furthermore, the project sheds light on the infrastructural capabilities that would support this transformation, along with the requisite adjustments necessary for successful implementation.By delving into the potential of automation in the QMR process, this project offers insights into the feasibility, challenges, and transformative potential of transitioning from manual to automated processes within the realm of quality management.
