The Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC) is a global organisation specialising in pharmacovigilance and advancing the safer use of medicines. As a collaborating centre with the World Health Organization, UMC plays a central role in supporting the WHO Programme for International Drug Monitoring (PIDM). It is instrumental in collecting, analysing, and sharing data on adverse drug reactions from over 170 member countries.

UMC is also the development and maintenance of WHODrug, the most widely used drug dictionary internationally.WHODrug is used for standardisation and identification of medicinal products across the globe.
