A4.3 Data management to Data Sciences: Checking our pulses
Information
This presentation is part of a full breakout session. To add this presentation to your schedule you must add the full breakout session.
In the Data Sciences DMEG we are focusing on what the move to “Data Sciences” means for different types on companies. From the few discussions held already, a clear difference can already be seen between different companies and different types of companies. In this session I would love to moderate some feedback from our Data Sciences DMEG group where we can discuss the paper we would have released by then. Closer to the time I will arrange for 4 or 5 senior leaders from the DMEG to join me for a panel discussion on stage. We will speak about how companies seem to be taking different approaches to adjusting to data science, and clinical data science, which at this stage differs quite a bit. We will also speak about how these teams were filled, when to recruit, when to upskill, how to upskill, and which areas seem to have held the most challenges. Lastly, I will ask the panel to share some hands in practical examples for how they have approached this within their organizations. Hopefully not just leaving the audience with guidance but also with some hands-on ideas on how to start moving in this direction (if they are in leadership roles), or what to expect (if they are in operational delivery roles).
