Communication in the just transition process

Communication in the just transition process

Les Ateliers des Tanneurs - Rue des Tanneurs 60A, 1000, Brussels, Belgium

Information

Public perception, understanding, and behaviour all play a role in accelerating the just transition. The levels of awareness and understanding of what the just transition is and its relevance to a personal, local or regional context vary widely across the EU. Communication is an important tool, which if adapted appropriately, can increase the level of support from people and understanding of the stakeholders of the transition process. In addition, JTF regions are required to communicate about the implementation of their programmes.

In this session the stakeholders will share examples of effective tools and solutions that allowed them to communicate about the just transition process in their regions and engage people as well as good practices that led to successful rebranding of the region’s image and positive behavioural change.
