Information
Presentation Goal: To provide education at the provider level to assist in caring for neurodiverse populations, who have higher rates of incontinence in childhood that often follow them into adulthood.
Presentation Description: Presentation will include a brief overview of the most current literature on the presence of voiding disorders in the pediatric population as well as highlight the lack of literature in the adult population. It will provide a best practices guide when obtaining history, examining, and performing procedures on people with autism spectrum disorder, developmental delay, ADHD, and sensory management needs. If time allows I will also discuss how these practices can be extended to patients with a history of trauma or abuse.
