Ricardo Lemvo & Makina Loca

Ricardo & Makina Loca perform a mix of global music genres from Congo, Angola, Cuba, the Caribbean, and Latin America. The ensemble's repertoire is truly global in scope, with songs presented in a diverse array of languages including English, Spanish, Portuguese, Lingala, Kikongo, and Umbundu.

The group is widely considered to be amongst the best Afro-Latin ensembles hailing from the West Coast, and their live show is unparalleled. Ricardo intends to tour throughout the Western USA region, as well as worldwide, for the 2026/2027 Season, so this showcase opportunity at WAA can be of great benefit to the group in connecting with the proper performing arts venues that we hope to engage for this tour.
