Migraine is a common, disabling condition that is frequently seen in clinical practice. Despite its high rate of recurrence, evidence indicates that migraine remains poorly managed, with substantial variability in how patients respond to established migraine pharmacotherapies. This symposium will review the current understanding of the pathophysiology of migraine and data on newer acute and preventive migraine therapies. A patient with migraine will join the expert panel to discuss their experience with migraine and how they work with their healthcare providers to come up with an appropriate treatment plan utilizing newer migraine pharmacotherapies. To maximize engagement, the symposium will include interactive questions and clinical whiteboard animation and provide a custom infographic poster for attendees to take home.
