QA Lead (Contract to Permanent)
Job Offers
Information
Glow Up Games is looking for a talented QA Lead to join our team for an immediate start! We’re a truly diverse game studio (founded by women of color) with a base on the East Coast but wonderful team members all over the US (& one or two international ones too!). We’re a small but growing and friendly team, and we believe that all disciplines are crucial to making great games. Fully remote and flexible is possible, though we also have office space in NYC through November for any local folks who would prefer to work with us in person. Initial three month contract, though with an opportunity for the right person to join our team longer term too.
Here’s what we’re looking for -- if this sounds anything like you (even if there’s one or two things you need just a little more practice with), we’d love to hear from you!
* Previous QA experience, ideally in mobile, doing game testing throughout the development cycle (iOS & Android).
* Experience writing test plans and overseeing the QA process in its entirety, comprehensive test strategies, test cases, and test cycles.
* An understanding of which discipline issues should be assigned to, so you can make specific QA assignments to the narrative, engineering, or art teams.
* Familiarity with working in Unity, so you can run & test the game from within the engine.
* Previous experience working with some kind of source control essential - we use Plastic and Git, depending on the project!
* Tracking and maintaining a test suite of devices, advising management of all new requirements in the QA process (for instance, new devices, new operating systems, etc.).
* Exceptional attention to detail with strong organizational skills.
* Familiarity with issue tracking software (Jira) is a strong plus.
We also want folks who are great at working with a friendly and diverse team. We’re passionate about working together to build a team environment that feels not only supportive - but joyful and affirming! - for people of all backgrounds.
