As lithium production evolves, Johnson Screens plays a key role in supporting direct lithium extraction (DLE) processes. Our Vee-Wire® screen technology is widely used in ion exchange and adsorption columns, enabling efficient brine flow, optimized lithium recovery, and reliable media retention under demanding operating conditions.

A core component of these systems is our patent-pending Spider Lateral system, designed with radially arranged, pipe-based laterals connected to a central hub. Engineered using CFD analysis, these systems maximize usable vessel volume while delivering highly uniform fluid distribution with low headloss. The design allows installation as both a collector and distributor, reduces unused vessel space, and supports higher process flow rates and media utilization. With bolt-in assembly and corrosion-resistant materials, Spider Laterals provide a flexible, high-performance solution for both new and retrofitted columns.
