Information
Dry Eye Disease is one of the most difficult ophthalmic conditions to diagnose, mainly because there is a lack of correlation between different signs, and between signs and symptoms. Common findings of dry eye include corneal staining, a positive Schirmer’s test, low meibum quality, evidence of gland obstruction or dropout on meibography, and early tear break-up time.
The Antares offers objective data for diagnosis of dry eye. In addition to being a state-of-the-art corneal topographer, it allows users to perform quantitative meibography, measure the tear meniscus height, and track the tear-break-up time in a non-invasive manner (NIBUT).
