Malawi - November 2024

The Malawi-EU Investment Forum took place in Lilongwe from 26 – 28 November 2024. Malawi's demonstrated resilience and growth potential alongside the European Commission’s Neighbourhood, Development and International Cooperation Instrument (NDICI) and the EU’s Multi-Annual Indicative Programme (MIP) 2021-2027 for Malawi, aligned with Malawi's development blueprint, Malawi 2063, envisioning a wealthy and self-reliant industrialised upper-middle-income country by 2063. To complement these efforts, the Government of Malawi and the European Union held a business forum aimed at strengthening economic ties and fostering collaboration between the two parties. The overall objective of the business forum was to provide a platform for joint analysis, collaboration, learning, and growth, ultimately contributing to the success and prosperity of the participating businesses and the EU and Malawi economies.
