About me
Mathew Rupanga is the Team Leader of the Climate Smart Jobs programme in Uganda, funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office. The programme aims at promoting climate smart agriculture technologies that support smallholder farmer adaptation to climate change. He has over 20 years’ experience in agricultural programming with a focus on climate smart practices and adaptation, extensive fund management experience. He has led the start-up of nine large-scale development programmes, including four MSD programmes focusing on agriculture and rural development. He has successfully designed and managed funds with cumulative value of more than £150m targeting agriculture and rural development, youth employment, issue-based governance programming, and maternal and neonatal health. He has led three market system development programmes for FCDO valued at £104 million and reaching over 1million farmers.
