About me
Gerald is an accomplished Monitoring, Evaluation, Research, and Learning (MERL) expert with over a decade of experience in development programmes, holding senior managerial positions for 9 years. Currently, he is the MERL Director for the FCDO-funded Propcom+, a market systems and climate-smart agricultural programme in Nigeria. Gerald has led MERL teams in the USAID-funded Nigeria Agribusiness Investment Activity, the FCDO-funded Market Development programme in Northern Ghana, and the multi-donor-funded HarvestPlus Nigeria biofortification programme. His expertise includes designing and implementing gender-sensitive, results-based and digital-driven MERL systems; applying DCED standards for results measurement; conducting research and evaluations; and leading the synthesis and application of lesson learning in programmes. An esteemed researcher, Gerald, holds two master’s degrees: one in Impact Evaluation from the University of East Anglia, UK, and another in Agricultural Economics from the University of Calabar, Nigeria. To date, he has authored seven peer-reviewed publications with 115 citations.
