Justin is an independent consultant with 15 years of experience, focusing on market systems development for employment (MSD4E) and development finance institution (DFI) technical assistance. Recent work in MSD4E includes authoring A Rough Guide to MSD for Youth Employment in Sub-Saharan Africa and co-leading a global mapping of MSD4E interventions. He is currently working on a new study with the ILO that explores how to support job creation on a larger scale. His work in DFI technical assistance has included two research studies exploring collaboration between DFIs and donor-funded private sector development programmes, designing market-shaping TA programming, and supporting a COVID-19 grant and technical assistance facility. Justin was previously Head of Inclusive Markets at Adam Smith International (ASI), where he advised and managed a range of market systems programmes, including resident roles in Kenya and Nepal.
