Andrew McCown is a Geographer, Foreign Service Officer, and Rural Development professional working for USAID. He has extensive experience in Latin America and Africa having worked in Paraguay, Bolivia, Honduras, Mali, and Uganda. He currently serves as the Director of the Centre for Resilience and Food Security and Feed the Future Coordinator for USAID/Kenya and East Africa. He specializes in inclusive market systems development with a strong emphasis on facilitation and private sector engagement/partnership formation for agricultural development and the benefit of vulnerable populations.
