About me
Muaz Jalil is an International Development practitioner with extensive experience in monitoring and evaluation (M&E), specializing in market systems development, youth employment, and financial inclusion. He has an MA in Economics from the University of British Columbia, Canada and an MPhil from the University of Cambridge, UK. Muaz is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in International Development at the University of Ottawa,
focusing on Youth Employment effectiveness in Sub-Saharan Africa. He has worked extensively across countries in South Asia, East Asia, the Pacific, East Africa, and West Africa. Muaz has worked with various UN agencies such as UNCDF, UN ESCAP, and UN Foundations, as well as other bilateral donors such as USAID, FCDO, SDC, etc. Muaz also has a passion for philosophy and recently completed his master’s in liberal
studies (MALS), focusing on philosophy and religion at Rutgers.
