Patrick Egli has been appointed Co-Head of the Economy and Education Section in September 2022. He is in charge of the strategy related to Private Sector Development, Financial Sector Development as well as Engagement with the Private Sector. He supports the development and implementation of the Section’s strategy towards Vocational Skills Development and Education in Emergencies. As the Deputy Director of Cooperation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, he directed the strategic portfolio development of the Swiss cooperation programme and was in charge of the economic, infrastructure and migration portfolio. Before this assignment, Patrick Egli served as Deputy Head of the Division Global Institutions. He was responsible for the definition and implementation of the multilateral strategy of the SDC. Patrick also served as an Evaluation Advisor to the UNFPA’s Division for Oversight Services where he contributed to the elaboration of a methodology to assess the performance of UNFPA’s country programmes. Patrick holds a Master in Economics of the University Basel, Switzerland as well as a Certificate of Advanced Studies on Development and Cooperation of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich.
